Placida Florida

Placida is a peaceful little community located next to Boca Grande, at the southern tip of the Cape Haze Peninsula, and offers easy access to the water from several Placida boat ramps, boat docks and marinas.

Placida, Florida began as a fishing village and it is no wonder that many local residents and visitors alike enjoy fishing the local waters where there is easy access to Charlotte Harbor, Gasparilla Sound, the Intracoastal Waterway and the Gulf of Meico. 

Boca Vista Harbor and Angler's Club at Boca Grande are both located next to Gasparilla Marina and enjoy breathtaking sunsets and beautiful views of the harbor.  Eldred"s Marina is just around the corner on the causeway to Boca Grande.  Nearby, at Grande Tours, you can rent a kayak and enjoy Coral Creek with a guide, or on your own.  

Built on the old Boca Grande railroad trestle bridge, The Placida Fishing Pier is a good place to try your luck at fishing.  Perfect for if you only have a bit of time to fish, your sure to catch something.
