The toll bridge to cross onto Gasparilla Island sets this "old Florida" community apart from the surrounding area.
Once you cross the causeway, you will find multi-million dollar homes and condominiums, a golf course, quaint shops, great casual and fine restaurants, art galleries, bike rental, and other establishments you would expect to see on "main street. Reminiscent of "Old Florida" there are no high rises, stop lights, bill boards, chain stores or fast food restaurants.
